The new date below says April 2nd. This is Easter Weekend and a lot of people will be away. If it is decided to be that date, I am sorry but will have to withdraw the Sunseeker team.

Simeon i agree with u, where there is beer there is always a reason to cheer. Flip cup must stay, some obstacle course would be fun, just like LA Mud run.

Flip cup should stay,because there are no losers after you drink the beer.Chug a lug should be added Tug of war should be one and done and if you have to face another team you should come back later in the day. An obstacle course would be great and maybe team badminton also Kayak races. There is not enough of the right space but with all the people it would be a great way to introduce kickball

Please keep beach volleyball lots of fun. But last time there were too many rocks on the beach including in the volleyball area. I scratched my knee while diving for a volleyball. So please remove the rocks from the volleyball area at least this time.

We had 32 teams and 300 people participate in Beach Olympics I on a cloudy, dreary day and that's all we could handle. This time around we want to get more people and some new activities.

Beach Olympics I - beach volleyball, beach dodgeball, tug-of-war, flip-cup

Beach Olympics II - ?,?,?,? - early feedback says flip-cup and dodgeball have to stay, everyone's collective bodies are hurting from tug-of-war (relay races instead?).

Where? To be determined - Umm Suqeim / Dubai Marina area.

Why? Because people told us they had a great time and want to do it again. And because DUPLAYS members want to meet other DUPLAYS members in other sports and activities.

Rules

Beach Olympics details...

Enter one team to participate in 4 "sports"
Beach volleyball, beach dodgeball, tug of war, flip-cup were in #1 and now we have to decide what to keep and what to change
Teams are a minimum of 8 people (MINIMUM 3 WOMEN in each game), no team maximum -- but each person entering Shoreside must pay 50AED
Enter your team (or enter as an individual and we will place you on a team). EACH member of the team must sign up online to be eligible for drink ticket, raffle prizes and for the team

Don't want to participate in the sports? No problem. Join the team "Just Chillin" when you sign up and you won't be scheduled for any events!
