The brief
Duke University's Fuqua School of Business asked us to organise a goodwill basketball game between the Duke Blue Devils and the UAE National Team. We handled all field-of-play logistics, venue operations and coordination between the university delegation and the local basketball federation. Coach K on the bench. Doc Rivers in the crowd.
The approach
Three things that made a goodwill game feel like a championship night.

Venue and protocol operations
A visiting NCAA program has specific requirements: court specs, warm-up protocols, media access, locker room standards. We translated the university’s expectations into UAE venue reality and made sure nothing fell short of what the Blue Devils were used to.

Federation coordination
Aligning Duke’s schedule with UAE Basketball’s availability, kit requirements and national team protocols meant managing two entirely different institutional cultures simultaneously. Both sides showed up ready.

Community access
Tickets were made available to the Dubai basketball community at accessible pricing. The game sold out. The crowd made it a real match-night atmosphere, not a corporate hospitality event with empty seats and polite applause.
