The brief
DMCC asked us to build a basketball event around Kobe Bryant. Not a photo call. An invitational where Dubai's best players got on the court, got coached, and got close to one of the greatest to ever play. We handled full production, from venue selection to the afternoon's format.
The approach
Three things that made this more than a celebrity appearance.

Intimate format by design
We capped attendance deliberately. A small arena, handpicked players, no performance stage. The format put participants on the court with Kobe, not watching from the stands. That decision made the event worth attending.

Talent and logistics coordination
Coordinating a global athlete’s schedule, security requirements and on-court expectations required working with Kobe’s team months in advance. We aligned the format to what he was willing to deliver, then built the event around it.

Competitive selection
Participants were selected through a qualifying process, not handed invitations. We ran the pre-event selection to find players who deserved to be in the room. It gave the afternoon weight. Kobe played to the room’s level.
